The Young Ones
Does anyone remember the Pop Song, “The Young Ones” sung by Cliff Richard? Not long after Cliff Richard and The Shadows acted in a Movie with that song as its theme?
Actually, Cliff Richard sang that song about Neil, the son of Shiela from My World In My Own Word. Go read about Neil at Shiela’s Blog.
The Young Ones begins like this:
The young ones,
Darling were the young ones,
And young ones shouldnt be afraid. To live, love
While the flame is strong,
For we wont be the young ones very long.
And it has these famous lines….
Once in every lifetime
Comes a love like this.
I need you and you need me.
Oh my darling cant you see.
Neil, you ROCK!!! Go man Go, woo her!!! Don;t worry about Mama!!!

I shall not steal any thunder from Shiela’s story about her 4 year old son who in the words of Karen Carpenter is….
…on the top of the world lookin’ down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I’ve found ever since you’ve been around
Your love’s put me at the top of the world
