How does Wall Street get away with it?

Published by windmill at 2:25 am under Post Edit This

I read at an article that $18.4 billion USD was paid in bonuses for Wall Street bankers who nearly wrecked the world’s financial system in 2008.

This is outrageous.

This is cold blooded financial murder committed against the American tax payer considering that billions were funded by the U.S Government’s bail out.

To simplify that artrocity, it is as though the Police rewarded a thief for proving that he successfully robbed the tenants and everything that was in a house.

How can this happen at a time when the entire U.S Economy is under assail? To add insult to injury, these vaunted guardians of America’s Corporate Finance who are directly implicated in the Wall Street meltdown got rewarded for their colossal mismanagement.

At a time when unemployment is soaring, Companies in America have gone bankrupt and more are on the brink of Chapter 11, how is it possible for America that takes pride in justice and human rights fail so deplorably for the well being of her own citizens?

Is it not the same America that preaches justice and human rights beyond her shores but is unable to practice the same values in her own backyard?

In face of the ensuing Economic situation in America (as well as for the rest of the World at large) since the hard working American taxpayer’s wallet is wrung out of his pocket why is it not legally possible to have that $18.6 billion bonus payout returned on demand?
