Don’t be fooled by fake download sites

Some may not be aware about the existence of a pernicious rogue malware program Antivirus XP (or Antivirus XP 2009 or Antivirus2010…) let alone other methods for removing malwares from an infected computer.

Apparently, malware continues to plague users in a new, annoying manner. Antivirus2010 is now adding entries to users’ HOSTS file, so that if they try to navigate to CNET, Download.com, PC Magazine, or other technology sites, they’ll actually be redirected to fake versions of those sites.
